And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20
What is “discipleship”? Discipleship to Christ (not to a church or pastor) begins after a person is saved. Christian discipleship is the process of growing in our relationship with Jesus Christ as we learn more about Him and seek to become more like Him.
Discipleship Opportunities
Three Fold Cord
(TFC)
Jesus spent time with groups of people as well as individuals. Sometimes the group was a multitude (Matthew 5:1), and other times a group of 120 (Acts 1:15) or of 70 (Luke 10:1). But most often Jesus was with 12 men (Mark 3:14), or even more intimately with 3 (Matthew 17:1). There is strong biblical precedent and power in a “Three-fold Cord”.
A “Three-Fold Cord” group is a learner-driven discipleship method that promotes the development of Christian Growth Disciplines.
